Took this ETPU hippo toy to the pool for water fetch with our retriever. Unlike heavy rubber toys that sit low in the waterline, the lightweight expanded TPU foam rides high on top of the water, making it easy for dogs to spot while paddling. The textured ridges along the back give their teeth a solid grip to grab and swim back with.
This hippo water dog toy has been a huge hit with my Labrador! Since he’s a water dog, he absolutely loves playing with it. It’s easy to throw, floats well in the water, and is the perfect medium size for him to carry around. My dog was skeptical of this toy at first because it doesn’t have a squeaker, but when you rub it against the floor it makes a slight squeaking sound and suddenly it became his favorite toy! I haven’t tried it in a pool but it’s durable, easy to carry, and seems to be chew resistant.
